Exegesis
Meet my dear friend, musicologist and critic Anna Verina, who shares her thoughtful perspectives on my original compositions.
Anna Verina is a Russian musicologist, educator, lecturer, teacher, and pianist. Born in Baku, Azerbaijan, she moved to Russia in the 1990s and now lives in the city of Stavropol.
In 2007, she graduated from the Astrakhan State Conservatory with a degree in Musicology and subsequently completed postgraduate studies. She taught at the College of Musical Arts and later at the Regent School affiliated with the Orthodox Theological Seminary, where she delivered a broad range of music theory and academic disciplines.
Her scholarly interests center on contemporary academic music by Russian and international composers, spanning from the 1970s to the present day. She has presented her work at international and national academic conferences, and her research has been published in leading musicological journals (indexed by RSCI and VAK) as well as in scholarly collections issued by music institutions.
